As a gateway to the continent, the Port of Québec now has commercial relations with more than 50 countries. Its strategic location as the last deep-water port in the St. Lawrence/Great Lakes corridor is its best business card. The advantage of being the last deep-water port with 15 metres at low tide before the Great Lakes allows it to effectively connect international trade with the industrial and agricultural heart of North America. Equipped with complete intermodality and efficient terminals, it has handled an average of 28 million tonnes of freight annually over the past five years.
