Job Title: Senior Technical Program ManagerJob Description
This Senior Technical Program Manager role sits within a cross-functional technical program management team that drives large-scale technology initiatives for a major subscription program, including acquisition, payments, customer experience, international expansion, and new program variations. You will lead a challenging, high-value, high-visibility program with significant strategic impact, partnering with software and business teams across the organization to identify and deliver innovative solutions that meet ambitious business goals. In this role, you shape the next generation of the subscription experience, working end-to-end across systems and customer touchpoints while learning and leveraging a deep collection of technologies throughout the company.
Responsibilities
- Own and deliver large, complex technical programs that have high strategic impact on the subscription business and customer experience.
- Work directly with multiple software engineering, product, and UX teams to design, coordinate, and integrate solutions across diverse systems and functions.
- Act as an integration architect, understanding each team’s inputs and outputs and orchestrating them into a cohesive, end-to-end customer flow.
- Oversee the full lifecycle of the subscription program experience, including upsell and sign-up flows, customer communications, access to benefits, payment methods, and cancellation processes.
- Manage programs across cross-functional teams, building and refining sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules to ensure timely, high-quality delivery.
- Apply project management disciplines, including defining scope, building and maintaining schedules, managing budgets, and ensuring quality, while actively managing risks and critical paths.
- Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs) that drive multi-million-dollar business outcomes, and report progress and insights to Senior leadership.
- Collaborate closely with engineering teams to translate business goals into technical requirements and ensure solutions are technically sound and scalable.
- Drive alignment among stakeholders across multiple departments and organizations, resolving dependencies and removing obstacles to keep programs on track.
- Continuously improve program management processes and communication frameworks to support a growing team of Technical Program Managers and evolving business demands.
- Support and mentor other Technical Program Managers within the broader TPM organization to promote best practices and consistent execution across programs.
Essential Skills
- At least 7 years of experience working directly with engineering teams.
- A minimum of 5 years of technical product or technical program management experience.
- At least 3 years of hands-on software development experience.
- A minimum of 5 years of technical program management experience working directly with software engineering teams.
- Proven experience managing programs across cross-functional teams, including building processes and coordinating release schedules.
- Demonstrated project management expertise in scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk management, and critical path management.
- Strong technical background, with prior experience in roles such as software developer or quality assurance engineer.
- Ability to manage large, complex programs that span multiple organizations and domains, such as payments, video, and other customer-facing services.
- Experience working with multiple software engineering or product teams simultaneously.
- Ability to define and use KPIs and SLAs to guide business decisions and communicate effectively with Senior leadership.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across engineering, product, UX, and business stakeholders.

- Interest in long-term opportunities, including potential for conversion to a permanent role.
Work Environment
This role operates within a large team of Technical Program Managers, typically numbering between 12 and 15, with sub-teams focused on specific program areas and demands that may fluctuate over time. You will collaborate closely with multiple engineering, product, and UX teams, working across a broad range of internal technologies and systems that support the subscription experience from initial upsell and sign-up through benefits access and cancellation. The standard work schedule is Monday through Friday, with typical hours from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. or 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Pacific Time, providing a structured environment for cross-team coordination and stakeholder engagement.

This is a Contract position based out of Vancouver, BC.
Pay And Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $80.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
