The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Project Control Analyst to support the successful delivery of transportation and infrastructure projects. This is a temporary full-time position for a period of 18 months.
In this role, you will be responsible for the financial and operational management of projects, working closely with multidisciplinary teams of Project Managers, Engineers, Planners, Designers, Contract Administrators, and Sub-Consultants. You will play a key role in ensuring projects remain on budget, on schedule, and aligned with business objectives through effective project controls, cost management, forecasting, reporting, and stakeholder coordination.

Your Impact
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams of Project Managers, Engineers, Planners, Designers, Contract Administrators, Sub-Consultants, and other project stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Plan and coordinate functional portfolio reviews for MAPS and support project governance requirements.
- Implement and maintain project controls processes and procedures to support project and contractual requirements.
- Develop and maintain baseline budgets, forecasts, and work breakdown structures (WBS) to effectively manage project hours and expenditures.
- Monitor project performance by tracking planned value, actual costs, earned value, schedules, and other key project metrics.
- Analyze project trends and assess the impacts of scope changes on cost, schedule, and overall project performance.
- Identify, communicate, document, and support the resolution of deviations from project plans, including risks and issues with potential future impacts.
- Act as a liaison between Project Accounting, Project Controls, Project Managers, and project delivery teams to ensure alignment and accuracy of financial information.
- Support the financial health of projects through cost control, variance analysis, forecasting, and performance reporting.
- Organize billing drafts, compile monthly invoices, and coordinate approvals and payment follow-ups as required.
- Manage sub-consultant invoicing and receivables.
- Prepare and coordinate monthly progress reports, financial reports, and executive-level project status updates.
- Support the development of project plans, schedules, cost plans, quality plans, and change management plans.
- Prepare reporting packages and performance summaries for project and corporate leadership teams.
The Skills That Set You Apart
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in Project Management, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in project controls, project coordination, financial management, project administration, or a related field.
- Previous experience supporting engineering, infrastructure, transportation, planning, or consulting projects is considered a strong asset.
- Strong understanding of project cost control, budgeting, forecasting, earned value management (EVM), and financial reporting.
- Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across multidisciplinary teams.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment with competing deadlines.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with ProjectWise, SharePoint, Primavera P6, and/or Microsoft Project is considered an asset.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Adaptability and flexibility to manage ambiguity, changing priorities, and evolving project requirements.
Compensation
AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $89 800 – $118 900
MB & ON: $81 900 – $112 800
NB, NL, NS, PE & QC: $81 100 – $107 700
