In Ontario, we are a team of 35+ Landscape Architects, Urban Designers, Arborists, and Technicians. With the support of our national team of allied professionals – Planners, Engineers, Scientists - we think globally and act locally.

Current projects include local and regional parks, urban spaces and plazas, complete streets, multi-use trails, transit and transportation facilities and infrastructure, master planning, and ecologically based design. We are also motivated to pursue research and learning opportunities to prepare for the design challenges of the future.
Your Impact
We are currently seeking the next senior member of our Ontario design team to support our expanding
Landscape Architectural & Urban Design practice in Toronto at our 25 York Street office. Our ideal candidate is a creative, collaborative designer with a passion for the profession and demonstrated experience taking projects from concept to completion, with specific experience working on projects in the City of Toronto and surrounding municipalities. As a member of our Landscape Architecture & Urban Design Team, this individual will contribute to current projects in a leadership role and help win new ones by being involved in all aspects of proposal development and project delivery.
- Possess a natural design intuition and have a portfolio of projects to demonstrate this
- Show initiative and contribute positively to a multidisciplinary team including mentorship of early career professionals
- Bring a collaborative mindset and desire to find creative design solutions that are environmentally responsible and technically sound
- Demonstrate excellent communications skills including the ability to quickly develop and articulate different design ideas and project concepts
- Be comfortable speaking with members of the public, clients, and colleagues across disciplines, and do so with professionalism at all times
- Have experience in preparing and leading others in the preparation of proposals
- Have experience in Project Management and demonstrated financial acumen
- Be familiar with all aspects of design development and construction documentation including site design, planting design, site grading, detailing, and contract administration, with the ability to lead others through projects from start to finish
The Skills That Set You Apart
- Be a Full Member in Good Standing with the OALA (or equivalent, with seal)
- Have 12+ years of professional experience working in Landscape Architecture
- Possess strong technical skills including proficiency in core design and administrative software (CAD, Adobe, SketchUp, Office, etc).
- Be willing to perform field work and observe projects during construction
- Demonstrate commitment to community and continual learning
- Proficiency in Civil3D, SketchUp, Lumion, Revit, MicroStation, Rhino GIS
- A valid driver’s license
- ISA Certification
- Additional credentials in Accessible Design, Environmental Stewardship or other directly related to the practice of Landscape Architecture in Canada.
- Fluency in a second language (French desirable)
The following qualifications are strongly desired:
- Proficiency in Civil3D, SketchUp, Lumion, Revit, MicroStation, Rhino GIS
- A valid driver’s license
- ISA Certification
- Additional credentials in Accessible Design, Environmental Stewardship or other directly related to the practice of Landscape Architecture in Canada.
- Fluency in a second language (French desirable)
Compensation
AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $98 000 – $131 700
MB & ON: $89 400 – $124 900
NB, NL, NS, PE & QC: $88 500 – $119 300
