About The Role
We are looking for a Senior Adviser Project Management to help our project team successfully deliver a portfolio of sustaining capital, closure, and operational improvement projects in Kitimat. In this role, you will provide project management expertise across the full project lifecycle, helping stakeholders translate business requirements into safe, effective and sustainable project outcomes.

What You’ll Be Doing
Reporting to the Principal Adviser Project Management, you will
- Implement projects in line with approved scope, schedule, budget and business objectives.
- Develop and execute stakeholder engagement plans that support successful project delivery throughout the project lifecycle.
- Monitor, analyze and report project performance indicators to support transparent decision-making and governance.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external project stakeholders.
- Provide technical and project delivery guidance to stakeholders to support effective outcomes.
- Collaborate with business partners to define requirements, develop estimates and deliver agreed project outcomes.
- Resolve project delivery issues and risks in a timely manner to minimise impacts on safety, cost and schedule.
- Support vendor and consultant sourcing activities while identifying and implementing improvements to project delivery methods.

Required for Success
- A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team.
- Demonstrated experience managing projects within mining, processing, manufacturing, energy, infrastructure or other large-scale industrial environments.
- Experience applying project management methodologies, governance processes and performance reporting frameworks.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management experience across technical, operational and business functions.
- Ability to manage competing priorities, resolve project delivery issues and drive outcomes through collaboration.
- A qualification in engineering, project management, business or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
Helpful for Success
- Experience working with capital projects in a safety-critical industrial environment.
- Experience supporting contractor, consultant or vendor management activities.
- Knowledge of continuous improvement approaches and project delivery optimization.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) qualification

The base salary range for this role is $116,000 - $174,000 CAD in addition to allowances, bonus, equity, health or retirement benefits, and any other discretionary benefits offered at Rio Tinto. Our base salary ranges are based on role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by the skills, experience, and impact you bring to the role.
