About the role
We are looking for a Coordinator Plant Maintenance to lead Maintenance Supervisors and asset management professionals in delivering and executing the asset maintenance plan for Concentrator Maintenance. In this role, you will support and deploy effective asset management plans and objectives that help maximize asset value through safe, reliable operations, lifecycle management, modelling and forecasting. You will allocate work, supervise team activities and coordinate planned, unplanned and shutdown maintenance to support sustainable physical assets and business results.

What you’ll be doing
Reporting to the Superintendent and working with the execution team within Concentrator Maintenance, you will:
- Lead Maintenance Supervisors and asset management professionals to deliver and execute maintenance plans.
- Deploy asset management plans and objectives that support safe people outcomes, sustainable physical assets and reliable plant performance.
- Allocate work, supervise team activities and remain accountable for the results of routine maintenance support and production operations.
- Coordinate scheduled maintenance, unplanned emergency work, equipment breakdowns and shutdown activities based on risk, priority and resource capacity.
- Maximize asset value through operational asset management, lifecycle planning, modelling, forecasting and informed maintenance decisions.
- Coordinate equipment downtime, parts, materials, contractors and resources with Maintenance Planners, maintenance teams and the Operations Centre.
- Solve operational and maintenance problems using established practices and precedents, while adapting plans to changing business needs.
- Train team members, support capability development and provide input to employee performance evaluations.

Required for Success

- Skills and Capabilities: Demonstrated ability to lead supervisors or team leaders, allocate work, supervise activities and deliver team results in a safety-critical industrial environment.
- Experience: Asset management or maintenance operations experience supporting asset maintenance plans, lifecycle management and reliable physical asset performance.
- Experience: Leadership experience training team members, solving problems using established practices and providing input to employee performance evaluations.
- Qualifications: Newfoundland and Labrador Grade 12 or equivalent experience, plus a valid Class 5 driver’s licence.
- Systems: Experience using SAP for maintenance planning, scheduling or work execution.
Helpful for Success
- A post-secondary qualification in a trade, technical, engineering, maintenance, operations or related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with modelling, forecasting or other methods used to maximize value across the asset lifecycle.
- Experience working in a unionized environment.
