Sommaire du poste
En collaboration avec une équipe multidisciplinaire, la personne titulaire du poste prend en charge les activités d’automatisation des projets, incluant la programmation PLC, l’intégration des composantes réseau, la mise en service des systèmes et le soutien technique. Elle contribue également aux activités de conception et d’optimisation des installations afin d’assurer l’avancement efficace des projets.
Responsabilités principales
En collaboration étroite avec une équipe multidisciplinaire (gestion de projet, automatisation, mécanique, logiciel, électrique, intelligence artificielle) :
- Gérer toutes les tâches d'automatisation (y compris la programmation (PLC), la gestion des composants réseau et la supervision de la conception des panneaux électriques et des commandes);
- Participer activement aux sessions de remue-méninges (R&D) et de démarrage des projets, contribuant à la génération d'idées et à la résolution de problèmes;
- Collaborer au développement et à l’intégration d’algorithmes avancés et de composants mécaniques;
- Effectuer la mise en service du système et fournir une assistance technique continue en tant que ressource clé pour le fonctionnement efficace et l'optimisation des installations;
- Polyvalence et adaptation : répondre à différentes tâches pour supporter l'avancement de projets en adaptant des stratégies et techniques afin de subvenir aux objectifs de l'équipe.
Profil recherché
Formation et expérience
- Baccalauréat en génie électrique en automatisation ou tout autre diplôme pertinent;
- Membre de l’Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (ou en voie de l’être);
- 5 à 8 ans d’expérience pertinente en automatisation ou dans un domaine connexe;
- Expérience dans l’industrie de la gestion et de la manutention de matériel en entrepôts automatisés.
Compétences techniques
- Maitrise ou connaissance approfondie des langages de programmation GRAFCET, Logique Ladder, Texte Structuré (ST);
- Bonne connaissance des systèmes électriques (contrôle et puissance) et mécaniques;
- Expérience dans l'intégration de systèmes et les flux de travail d'automatisation;
- Solides compétences en matière de résolution de problèmes.
Compétences relationnelles
- Capacité à travailler de manière autonome et en équipe;
- Capacité à travailler sous pression;
- Excellentes compétences en analyse, en documentation et en communication;
- Bonnes aptitudes à communiquer avec les clients et les équipes internes.

Job Summary
In collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, the incumbent is responsible for project automation activities, including PLC programming, network component integration, system commissioning, and technical support. They also contribute to the design and optimization of installations to ensure the efficient progress of projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with project managers and the existing technical team (automation, mechanical, software, electrical) to develop advanced material handling systems for automating the storage, transport and management of garments on hanger for global e-commerce platforms.
- System Development and Prototyping: Play an active role in system development, involving both computer-aided design work and hands-on experimentation in the company’s dedicated laboratory to test and optimize GOH handling equipment and subsystems.
- Commissioning and Support: Carry out system commissioning and provide ongoing technical support as a key resource for the efficient operation and optimization of installations.
- Technical Project Management: Handle end-to-end automation tasks, including programming industrial programmable logic controllers (PLCs), managing networking components, and overseeing the design of electrical panels and controls.
- Collaborative Innovation: Actively participate in brainstorming sessions for the project, contributing to idea generation and problem-solving.
- Mechanical Design: Occasionally collaborate with mechanical engineers to assist in the development and design of the system’s mechanical components.
- Validation and Testing: Lead the site acceptance testing (SAT) phases at the client’s location to ensure compliance and performance.
- Versatility and Adaptation: Take on various related tasks to support project progress, adapting strategies and techniques as needed to meet team objectives.
Candidate Profile
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or any other relevant degree.
- Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec, or in the process of becoming one.
- 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in automation or a related field.
- Experience in the material handling and management industry within automated warehouse environments.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency or strong knowledge of programming languages such as GRAFCET, Ladder Logic, and Structured Text (ST)
- Good knowledge of electrical systems, including control and power, as well as mechanical systems.
- Experience in system integration and automation workflows.
- Strong problem-solving skills.Knowledge of machine safety standards (an asset).
