Forward Deployed Engineer / Implementation Consultant, Operations Systems + AI Automation
About LevelOps
LevelOps helps B2B manufacturers, distributors and wholesalers run on modern, connected systems. We implement ERP, MRP, order and inventory systems, then build the AI automation that connects them and removes manual work from order-to-cash, production and inventory. When off-the-shelf tools don't fit, we build what clients need on our own AI-native platform. We are AI-native in how we operate, deliver and build.
About the role
You implement operations systems for manufacturers and distributors, then connect and extend them with AI. Most of your time is spent with clients: mapping how orders, inventory and production really flow, configuring systems, migrating data and going live. The rest is spent building automation and tools on top. Hands-on lead role, no people management. You will be our most senior person in the field, working directly with the CEO.
Two profiles welcome: an ERP/MRP implementation consultant who codes and builds with AI, or a software engineer who loves clients and wants to go deep on operations systems.
What you'll do
- Implement systems: lead ERP, MRP, order and inventory implementations end to end, from discovery and process mapping to configuration, data migration, integrations, training and go-live.
- Connect systems with AI automation: build integrations and agents for order intake, PO and invoice processing, inventory and production triggers, exceptions and reporting, using APIs, webhooks and LLMs.
- Build solutions: when systems don't cover a need, build apps on our AI-native platform and turn what repeats into reusable templates.
- Own the client: run discovery workshops, write the scope, explain tradeoffs to operators, spot the next problem worth solving.
Success
- 30 days: ramped on our systems and methods, first configuration or automation live for a client.
- 60 days: leading an implementation end to end, with at least one automation in production.
- 90 days: running 2 to 3 client projects in parallel and contributing reusable templates to our playbook.
What you'll bring
- 5+ years implementing ERP, MRP, order or inventory systems for manufacturers or distributors, including leading projects end to end. Engineers with deep client-facing integration work are welcome.
- Hands-on configuration: BOMs, routings, inventory and warehouse setup, sales and purchasing flows, data migration.
- Strong grasp of B2B operations (order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, inventory, production planning). Must-have. Industrial engineering or supply chain background is a plus.
- Builder skills: APIs, webhooks, data modeling, Python or JavaScript/TypeScript. You ship working integrations.
- Real AI fluency: daily use of LLMs, agents and AI coding tools.
- Comfortable running a workshop and holding your ground on scope.
- Founder mindset: ownership, speed, comfort switching between clients.
- Based in Canada, ideally Montreal, with on-site client visits. Bilingual French/English a strong plus.
What's in it for you
- The most senior seat in the field, with equity via stock options.
- A profitable company with real clients and revenue.
- The range to be both implementer and builder, with real autonomy.
- Direct access to the CEO and a real say in our platform and what we productize.
