Office Support Specialist
Position Overview
The Office Support Specialist plays a key role in a fast-paced office environment by making high-volume outbound calls to vehicle owners and towing/pick-up shops. The primary focus of this role is gathering and documenting vehicle information, location details, and storage charges while following established client processes. Success in this position requires strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage repetitive tasks with accuracy and consistency.
Key Responsibilities
- Make outbound calls to vehicle owners and towing/pick-up shops to gather:
- Vehicle details
- Vehicle locations
- Storage charges and related information
- Manage a high call volume of approximately 80-100 calls per day while maintaining professionalism and accuracy.
- Enter customer and vendor information into company systems and document interactions according to client-specific processes.
- Perform repetitive administrative tasks while adhering to established workflows and procedures.
- Communicate professionally via phone and email to obtain information and answer questions.
- Use Microsoft Outlook to manage email correspondence and scheduling.
- Utilize basic Microsoft Excel functions, including copying and pasting data, to support daily operations.
- Work closely with a small team to ensure accurate information sharing and efficient operations.
- Deliver excellent customer service by actively listening, showing empathy, and providing clear information.
- Accept feedback constructively and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of customer service experience, either in:
- A call center environment, or
- An in-person customer-facing role (for designated positions)
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
- Experience using Microsoft Outlook for email and calendar management.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data entry and copy/paste functions.
- Reliable transportation, as the office is not accessible by public transit.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while handling high call volumes.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and information gathering.
- Ability to work independently and consistently perform repetitive tasks.
- Customer-focused mindset with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Open to coaching, feedback, and team collaboration.
Preferred Qualifications
The following are considered assets:
- General automotive knowledge.
- Experience processing point-of-sale (POS) payments.
- Previous experience working for:
- A towing company
- An insurance company
- Experience using Microsoft Teams.
- Prior experience interacting with insurance providers.
- Bilingual or multilingual language skills.
- Strong empathy and professionalism when assisting customers in stressful situations.
Work Environment
- Location: In-office position (not accessible by public transit)
- Transportation: Reliable personal transportation required
- Dress Code: Business casual
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
- Environment: Fast-paced, high-volume call center setting

This is a Contract position based out of Acheson, AB.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
