Job Description
Our client is seeking a Project Manager to support the delivery of complex engineered equipment and infrastructure projects within a fast-paced industrial environment. This role will be responsible for coordinating project activities across engineering, operations, service, manufacturing, procurement, vendors, and customers to ensure successful project execution.
The Project Manager will oversee multiple concurrent projects from execution through delivery, serving as the central point of coordination between internal stakeholders and external partners. The majority of the position focuses on internal project coordination, schedule management, risk mitigation, and vendor engagement, with regular interaction with customers to provide project updates, review milestones, and communicate progress.
This role is well-suited for an individual who thrives in dynamic environments, can manage competing priorities, and excels at bringing together diverse stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
Responsibilities
- Manage the execution and delivery of complex capital equipment and industrial projects.
- Coordinate activities across engineering, manufacturing, service, procurement, operations, vendors, and customers to ensure project milestones are achieved.
- Monitor project schedules, deliverables, action items, and dependencies to maintain alignment across all stakeholders.
- Facilitate communication between internal teams and external partners throughout the project lifecycle.
- Lead project meetings, status reviews, and progress updates while ensuring accountability for deliverables.
- Track project risks, issues, and change requests, proactively driving resolutions when conflicts arise.
- Review technical documentation, test results, schedules, and project reports to ensure project objectives are met.
- Support project planning, execution, commissioning, and closeout activities.
- Manage vendor relationships and coordinate procurement-related activities to support project schedules.
- Maintain project documentation, reporting, budgets, and performance tracking tools.
- Provide customers with regular project updates, milestone reviews, and status reporting.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to project execution, communication, and delivery processes.
Qualifications
Must Have
- Experience managing projects involving engineered products, industrial systems, construction, manufacturing, energy, automation, or similar technical environments.
- Strong ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and workstreams simultaneously.
- Experience managing schedules, risks, budgets, documentation, and project execution activities.
- Ability to drive accountability and maintain project momentum in fast-paced environments.
- Experience working closely with vendors, suppliers, contractors, and internal technical teams.
- Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and organizational skills.
- Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure while managing competing priorities.
Nice to Have
- PMP certification or equivalent project management credentials.
- Experience with power systems, industrial equipment, energy projects, utility infrastructure, automation systems, or capital equipment.
- Familiarity with commissioning, testing, startup, or field deployment activities.
- Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
- Understanding of mechanical and electrical systems within industrial environments.

- Experience collaborating with technical teams and translating project requirements into actionable plans.
- Strong leadership presence and ability to build alignment across diverse stakeholder groups.
- Comfortable working in an environment with shifting priorities, complex challenges, and tight deadlines.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Vancouver, BC.
Pay And Benefits
The pay range for this position is $58.97 - $69.23/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
