Description
The Manufacturing & Installation Drawing Designer is responsible for taking engineered designs, concepts, and project requirements through the final detailing stage and producing complete, accurate, and production-ready drawings for manufacturing, fabrication, assembly, and field installation. Working closely with Engineering, Project Management, Purchasing, Manufacturing, and Installation Teams, this role ensures that drawing packages are complete, constructable, manufacturable, properly revised, and released on time to support successful project execution. Key Responsibilities Drawing Development & Detailing
- Develop detailed manufacturing, fabrication, shop, assembly, and installation drawings from approved engineering designs, sketches, specifications, and project requirements.
- Finalize drawing details, dimensions, tolerances, connections, interfaces, notes, and material specifications required for production and field installation.
- Prepare part, component, subassembly, and general arrangement drawings for greenhouse structures, CEA systems, fabric-covered buildings, and related products.
- Convert conceptual and engineered designs into clear, complete, and production-ready drawing packages.
- Prepare installation, erection, and assembly drawings that clearly communicate construction sequence, component placement, and design intent. Manufacturing & Installation Readiness
- Review drawings for manufacturability, constructability, assembly efficiency, and field installation practicality before release.
- Coordinate with Manufacturing and Installation Teams to resolve drawing questions, identify potential issues, and incorporate practical improvements.
- Ensure released drawings contain the information required for purchasing, fabrication, assembly, packaging, shipping, and installation.
- Provide timely technical support to manufacturing and field personnel regarding drawing interpretation and design intent. Bills of Materials & Documentation
- Create and verify Bills of Materials (BOMs) and ensure alignment between drawings, components, material requirements, and project specifications.
- Prepare complete drawing and documentation packages for Engineering, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Project Management, and Installation Teams.
- Maintain accurate drawing records, supporting documents, and electronic project files in the required locations. Design Coordination & Quality Control
- Collaborate with Engineers, Project Managers, Purchasing, Manufacturing, suppliers, and field personnel to clarify requirements and resolve conflicts.
- Conduct thorough quality checks to confirm drawing accuracy, completeness, consistency, and compliance with company drafting standards and project requirements.
- Identify missing information, design conflicts, and constructability concerns before drawings are released.
- Participate in design reviews and project coordination meetings as required.

Pay And Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $37.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
